But this isn’t your typical 15-ft wide round trampoline in your friend’s backyard. No, it’s an entire matrix of trampolines, in a massive warehouse, with trampoline walls (trust me, these take a special skill to master) and a dodgeball arena. Yes, trampoline dodgeball. You haven’t lived until you’ve played dodgeball while bouncing around with a bunch of 8-12 years olds all trying to get the two “big kids.” It was…an epic battle.
The best and most exhilarating part about the whole experience is how great, and intense, a workout it yields. I barely lasted an hour, with multiple heavy-breathing breaks in between. Apparently an hour of jumping on a trampoline burns over 1,000 calories. I don’t doubt this for a second. I’m tempted to take the “AIRobics” challenge, but we’ll see if I muster up the desire to have my proverbial a$$ handed to me. I’m telling you, it is a cardio assault. Trampolining takes heart and stamina.
So if you’re looking for a fun way to elevate your workout, hit the trampolines. You’re never too old to get high.
