High-End Kenyan Designer Anna Trzebinski Trunk Show in Los Angeles: Two Days Only!!

This summer, I took an epic journey through East Africa. While in Kenya, I was stunned at the quality and artistry of the jewelry and clothing designers in Kenya, both in Nairobi and Karen. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was unparalleled.

I’m no fashion expert, that’s for sure. But I know what I like and I know when something is made well. I’m the girl who doesn’t know the high end brand name logos and if you bought your “Prada” purse at a street market that has a label that actually says “Prado,” I probably wouldn’t notice. But — show me two sweaters, two jackets, two pairs of shoes, or two necklaces, and without fail I will choose the one that is higher quality because that’s what I’m drawn to. Quality over quantity, right?!

Visiting Anna Trzebinski‘s studio in Karen was eye candy. I say that because I looked at a couple of the price tags and while I was tempted, I just couldn’t justify it on this trip.

Her classic coat with Masai-inspired beading and feathers is truly the most fabulous I’ve ever seen. I tried it on, modeled it for my travel companions, checked myself out in the mirror, and even got custom fitted for one (each is handmade and unique – no two are exactly alike, as nothing in her studio is).

If ever in Kenya, it’s a must-visit studio – you can see the workshop of tribal women working on the beading and clothing. It’s impressive, and Anna’s designs and style has caught the attention of A-listers around the world. Cher, for example, owns one of Anna’s classic handbags.

“My work has a magic that reflects the incredible gift Africa and her people can give us: to remind us where we came from and how pure the human spirit is,” Anna has said.

Now, Los Angeles has a chance to see and feel her work, not to mention purchase it and meet the designer as she makes her way down the California coast to Los Angeles for a special two-day trunk show at a private residence in Brentwood.

Ha ha, are you afraid to post all these comments? I don’t think you realize what you just did. You’ve just slandered someone who’s known to be one of the sweetest, nicest most generous celebs in the business. The Glamberts will not be happy and will defend his honor. By the way, why are you being so petty? Why didn’t you just go and find Adam later as he suggested? Too much trouble for you? I’m sure he would have been happy to give you your picture. Adam’s ACTUAL fans wait in line for hours to see him in concert, they know his character and how much he gives to his fans in meet and greets and on stage. I’m afraid they won’t sympathize with you. And I bet if your friend is the fan you say she is, she would not be happy with your characterization either. Cheers!
