Bottles, and Booties, and Bows—oh my! – High School Musical star, KayCee Stroh was tickled “blush pink,” her color of choice, by the stunning baby shower customized by Anya Sarre, Renee Simlak, and Sharon Helfand for the expecting actress. The first beautiful detail of the event was the custom invitations designed by Anders-Ruff.
Set against the backdrop of the W Los Angeles-Westwood’s upper terrace, the soiree was a chic affair dressed in blush pinks and ambrosial creams. Blooms by Sky Flowers adorned the relaxed affair, bringing a bit of whimsy with their customized baby bottle floral centerpieces. The arrival of this little Hollywood pea-in-the-pod, has been highly anticipated by former High School Musical co-stars, eager to embrace the next generation.
Former co-star Vanessa Hudgens offered her congratulations, stating, “Omg. A lot of cute little clothes are about to dominate the house! That’s amazing.” The shower made good on this prediction with a bevy of enviable baby gifts, beauty treatments, and delicious treats for everyone.
Pregnant and Posh – As the glowing mother-to-be arrived it was clear that her baby bump was not hindering her sense of style. Dressed by celebrity stylist Anya Sarre, her ensemble included a flowing purple dress by Kiyonna, floral wedges, a snakeskin metallic purse by Lauren Merkin, and diamonds by Peter Marco. She credited her glowing complexion to makeup artistry by Erika Poblano.
At first look, KayCee was “overwhelmed” by the beautifully created scene, and was quickly ushered into the event’s “beauty room.” The beauty room was filled with a myriad of beauty options for both KayCee and guests. Hannah Montana’s Anna Maria Perez and I Kissed a Vampire’s Autumn Grabeel, enjoyed choosing from beauty treats that included: mini-mani’s from Nail Garden, lash extensions from the Lash Fairy, 12-hour lip gloss from LipSense, and ecofriendly hair care products from UseMe! The Mother/Daughter Tisdale duo got in on the action. Ashley Tisdale’s sister Jennifer, immediately put on her comfy pink Therafit shoes for the duration of the afternoon.
Craving Crushers – Guests satiated their pregnancy and non-pregnancy cravings with food lifestyle brand, LYFE Kitchen. Delicious bites from the brand, whose recent national roll out of 250 retail/grocery stores along with their already burgeoning sit-down restaurants aims to be a catalyst for changing the way America eats. Their chef-inspired meals, called “the future of food,” by Bloomberg TV, features sumptuous selections under 500 calories that, when pulled from their steaming paper bag, comes out plated like a chef had done the artistry themselves.
Other sublime nibbles included a hot sauce corner featuring fruit dipped in SAAS, a savory hot sauce that generates proceeds to help protect traditional culture worldwide. For dessert, guests headed over to sweets table created by Magnolia Bakery, customized for the event with KayCee’s baby logo. The table was piled high with tiers of vanilla and chocolate buttercream frosted cupcakes, and a sweet cake with frosted rosettes.
Duds for Dads – The celebration didn’t leave out baby daddy Benjamin Higginson. Daddy Scrubs created a daddy station filled with products from their line of fun gifts for dads. Ben quickly donned their delivery scrubs emblazoned with “I’m the Daddy,” flaunting his daddy status for the entire event. They also featured their water bottles, ties, mugs, and daddy diaper packs.
Baby Bling – Every corner was filled with all things baby and mommy glam. ROCKABYE mommy concierge offered advice and solutions to expecting moms, Fashion designer Daniela Corte was also a part of the functional glam. Her luxe, faux-leather leggings were a guest priority with their versatility and flair. The entire glam gathering was made enjoyable by the presence of Photo Booth Pro, whose photo booth filled with vintage frames and custom backgrounds made for entertaining take-away favors.
Bachelor contestant, Leslie Hughes enjoyed getting snapped with their props and accessories. After KayCee and guests got bottled up in Hollywood style, the actress was surrounded by friends and family, among celebrity guests to receive her presents. Mother Cindy was touched by the outpouring of generosity and her sisters flanked her for this warm experience. After showering Miss Stroh, the attendees were also showered with Belly Bandit gift bags filled with baby bamboo swaddle blankets by Munchkin, egg white chips by IPS, body wash by Episencial, and bottles by Adiri, among other fun items.
Guests got in touch with their inner child by creating their own stuffed animals with Johnny’s Animaland. A crowning highlight of the event was the awareness created for KayCee’s favorite kid-centric organization, Safe Kids California, who was on hand to share helpful tips about car seat safety.
As the afternoon came to a close, the expecting mommy-to-be shared her current mood: “blessed.” Her friend Rachel Leigh Cook had this to say to the parents, “I’d just say that any child coming into this world would be lucky to have you two as parents; you are both all heart. I hope your daughter is blessed with your silliness and KayCee’s singing voice.”
The sleek fête ushered in the next High School Musical sweetheart and ensured that this baby gets all the bling she needs.
