This past Tuesday, at the Next TV Summit & Expo in Los Angeles, the talents and contributions of three inspiring women were recognized with the Next TV Women Digital Leadership Awards.
Lydia Antonini, Marion Edwards and Roma Khanna each took home an award for participating in what many are calling The Third Golden Age of Television.
- Lydia Antonini (SVP Creative, Xbox Entertainment Studios) talked about Xbox’s foray into original content, including premium dramas, comedies, documentaries, animation, unscripted shows, and live events.
- Marion Edwards (President of International Television, 20th Century Fox Television Distribution) shared some of the challenges and rewards of developing content (53 shows to be exact) for a global palette.
- And Roma Khanna (President Television Group & Digital, MGM Studios) revealed, with exhilaration and pride, the key to MGM Studios’ dramatic turnaround — from pulling out of bankruptcy in 2010 to producing award-winning shows such as Fargo and Vikings: It’s about great storytelling.
