Actor/Singer/Model Gia Mora is bringing her new solo show to LA on July 7, and we can’t be more excited! We first met Gia last year when her film, Woman’s Picture, screened at the Director’s Guild in West Hollywood during Outfest. Here’s what we had to say about the film.
Miz Mora’s new show – SWEETHEARTS & SINGLETONS – will be at The Coterie (inside the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood) on Saturday, July 7 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets $5-$15
In the show, Mora turns her wit and intellectual prowess on an unlikely pairing of human languages–math and love. In her hilarious cabaret, she explores dating in the digital age on a journey to the edge of the universe and the interior of your heart. She combines beloved standards with new songs and stories guaranteed to thrill and edify singletons and sweethearts alike.
What others had to say:
“Graceful, elegant, incredible voice. She is phenomenal.” -Alexandria News
“Hilarious… Performs with the effervescence of champagne.” -Washington Post
“I can’t say enough about the marvelous Gia Mora who sings and dances and possesses Lucille Ball-like comic timing.” -DC Theatre Scene
Sharing her time now between Los Angeles and DC, our Punch readers in the East are big fans of Mora’s work on the stages and in clubs around DC. She is a third generation jazz musician and follows in the footsteps of her father and grandfather. Learn more on her website at www.giamora.com.
