The Design Collective at South Coast Collection (SoCo), a whimsical indoor and outdoor retail space, was a fantastic introduction to Orange County’s only progressive shopping center of its kind — with over 300,000 square feet of design showrooms and creative studios. Presented by Milagro Tequila and Los Angeles Confidential magazine, the evening was proof that cool and hip is alive and well behind “The Orange Curtain.“
With a portion of proceeds from sales the evening benefiting J/P HRO, an organization founded by actor/activistSean Penn that provides emergency medical and primary care services to the hundreds of thousands of Haitian people still displaced from the earthquake to return home by rebuilding and regenerating neighborhoods, The Design Collective was anything but common. It was extraordinary.
