On March 27th I attended The Power of Beauty, a social networking beauty event hosted by Renee Simlak Productions. The affair displayed a variety of beauty products, stylists, and cocktails. Attendees, mostly women, from all walks of life came to discuss and sample some of the latest beauty trends.
The event was held at Motykie Med Spa, a new state-of-the-art facility offering the latest and most advanced techniques in skin care injectables, laser treatments, body contouring procedures and other beauty services. Here are the highlights from the night.

The adult beverages were being hosted by Go Girl Energy Drinks. These are some tasty low-calorie to no-calorie drinks for a gal on the go. They were available to drink by themselves or could be mixed into a tasty concoction with vodka or champagne. My favorite was the champagne combined with the Go Girl Sweetie Grapefruit for a tangy citrus twist. Yum! A portion of proceeds go to breast cancer awareness campaigns, prevention, and support for survivors and their families.

When Co-Founder Joe Ferrara explained how he found a way to enhance the energy of this water naturally, I was very intrigued. It starts out as pure spring water and is filtered through a rare quartzite aquifer and then further enhanced energetically using quantum physics technology by mimicking how nature energizes water. This energized water has a profound ability to influence your body’s ability to nourish, cleanse and heal itself. I couldn’t tell a difference in my energy from a few sips, but it tasted pure and clean. I find this kind of technology fascinating and I’m curious to see how people react to this specialty water. Try it and let us know what you think!
Assembly is known as LA’s first braid and pony tail bar. They offer styling for hair, makeup, and nails in Beverly Hills. The night of the event they offered four different choices in braiding. I can’t remember the last time I had my hair braided. It was so fun! These talented stylists can recreate just about any hairstyle or makeup look that you want to have. Next time you see a celeb with a look you want or just want to have a fun girls day, let the team at Assembly Salon style you!

Baby Gott Cakes is an in-home bakery formed by husband and wife team Lisa Penny-Kerr and Larry Kerr. Baby Gott Cakes, aside from having a fantastic name, also offers very tasty treats to compliment any occasion. On this night they came with white chocolate covered strawberries, a variety of cupcakes and a beautiful cake decorated specifically for the event. Delicious isn’t a strong enough word to describe these tasty cakes. They were fantastic and rich in flavor!

I have attended lots of events similar to this. M.B York Beauty Ammo is the only product I have ever sampled and then purchased for myself. I have always had a problem with under eye circles. Mary Beth York has created what I’ve found to be a remarkable product that gives instant results. It’s a quick and simple three step system only applied to the under eye area. First, apply the Collagen Eye Mask, then the Line Putty that fills in fine lines and finish by blending in Camouflage Eye Disguise concealer. Bam! No circles and no lines. When I got home, I looked in the mirror and was so amazed by how light and smooth my under eye area was. I went right online and ordered my own. I’ve already used it twice and I love it!
